The SmallRig Cage for Sony FX30 / FX3 4183 protects the camera and provides accessory mounting points. The modular cage includes a NATO rail and a U-shaped cage. The NATO rail mounts to the top with two 1/4”-20 screws. You can remove it to install the original XLR top handle. The U-shaped cage attaches with 1/4”-20 screws on both sides and the bottom, preventing twisting. A cushion inside protects the camera from scratches. A hinge arm at the battery door fits the camera’s curve for a better grip, especially for the little finger. A dedicated HDMI cable clamp stabilizes the signal and protects the camera’s interfaces. The cage has several accessory mounting options. 1/4”-20 threaded holes support the Magic Arm 2070. ARRI 3/8”-16 locating holes connect a Top Handle 2165C or Monitor Mount 2903B. The top NATO rail supports the Top Handle 3322, while the left NATO rail works with the Side Handle 2187B. You can mount a Rod Clamp 3598 for follow focus using the 1/4”-20 locating holes on the left and top-left. The right side has two 1/4”-20 holes for attaching a quick-release plate for vertical shooting. The cold shoe mount holds a microphone or LED light. The QD port at the bottom fits a QD strap. An Arca-Swiss quick release plate at the bottom allows direct attachment to DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro gimbals. It also works with a quick release plate (height increase pad) for DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 gimbals and the Arca-Type Quick Release Plate 3154. Both sides and the bottom offer holes for a Hand Strap 3848 and Shoulder Strap PSC2428. A magnetic spanner makes assembly and disassembly easier.
